television problems

my television has slowly been dieing on me and i wish to use it for gaming but its not working correctly.
the left side of the screen is to dark and the right is to bright its an older tv mid 90s but is there a method to fix this ive messed with all the built in controls and they dont work so if you know how to fix this please tell me thanks

take a piece of magnet and play around with it..i had same problem but i fixed it..sheer luck because at times it was getting even worse..it happens when you use any drill or other stuff around the monitor..

disgussing coil isnt it?
