Well, I remember when I was 13/14 I had a go at making a very small cab out of an old dismanteled Hi-Fi unit. (My rooms are to small to house a full size cab).
The entire thing was a disaster - I still have it and it's slowly falling apart bit by bit each day. So now I plan on recycling it into a bar top cab, and recently my mom dismanteled one of her bedroom units, so I plan on using what's left of that up as well! I plan on making a control panel that will house player 1 and 2 arcade joystick controls and inside the control panel there will be a Jamma loom and a power supply.
Basically - I plan on building a "supergun" as it were in a joystick so if I wish to detach the joystick from the cab and move it around to play it on a compatible TV/monitor somewhere else I can do so! I may at some point decide to make a stand up (or hey I could make it even more convertable and make a detachable top half so it can be stand up or bartop.
Any pointers?
I'm relativley new to actually building stuff from wood and whatnot. but I got enough experience from my last attempt to know what NOT to do. XD

How small is your room? A standard upright is only 2 feet wide. I had a tiny room a few years back when I stayed with my parents for a year, and I still had a few uprights in there.

I repeat.

2 feet wide.

You only need a spot 2 feet wide. and 2 and a half feet deep.

Measure and rearrange, I am going to bet you can fit one, rearrange to fit one, or get rid of something in order to fit one.

If you are in a real space crunch then you can cut that down to 18" wide and 18" deep by going with 15" mini cab.
