Of course, you guys can actually turn on a red *LEGALLY*, so it hardly makes that much of a difference.

Now that I have done most of the work to my Passport (and ordered all the parts for the rest of the work), I have discovered that Jialing (Chinese cycle maker), is making the suckers again. The quality isn't quite as good as the originals, but I could have bought a brand new one for less than I am spending on my old one!

Oh well, at least I can get parts for mine, from what I have read it is almost impossible to get parts for any of the modern imported scooters.

So far I have replaced the seat, the tires, one innertube, cleaned it, and have new mirrors, ignition switch, front fender, headlight, and flasher on order.

1000cc fuel injected motor and some sticky tyres and you will have a real weapon on your hands.

Browsing ebay for Passport parts when I found this picture in an auction. A Passport odometer with 56,000 miles on it!

Ok, I got all the lights working again today, the flasher I ordered was not needed, there were just separate issues keeping each turn signal from functioning. I replaced the (incorrect type) headlight that was hacked in with a correct one, now I have both high and lo beam. I removed the shop light that was rigged to the front.

I also got a replacement for a tiny little brake part that I had lost over the weekend.

Still awaiting a new ignition from Singapore (and now a new legshield from Malaysia), but the sucker is ready to pass inspection now, so I will try to get up early enough tommorrow to drop it off at the bike shop for an inspection. Still trying to find a good red front fender and chain guard at reasonable prices.
