Joust Marquee?
« on: March 29, 2005, 11:13:03 am »
Hey,

I'm new to all this vectorization business, but I find it very interesting.  Maybe this question has already been asked, but I wonder if the Joust marquee could be vectorized?  This also seems like a glaring gap in the Arcade Art Library.  Maybe something could be done like the Tempest marquee, i.e. a mixture of vector and raster?  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Also, if anyone has a decent quality jpeg of the marquee, I am interested in it for a bartop I am currently planning.  Thanks a lot.

I totally agree...I'm going to keep my eyes peeled at the next SuperAuction and try to get some o.k. pics...Until then, here's some crappy ones for reference.
It doesn't matter if you win or lose....it's how you play the videogame.

Excellent Rohan, I've never been to a video game auction and so haven't seen a Joust machine since the mid-eighties.  As for Joust 2, I never played the game and have only seen it through emulation--not really my cup of tea.  But the Joust Marquee has to be one of the coolest ever created, IMO.  Good luck at the next auction and PM me if you come up with anything.  Thanks in advance.
