How do I configure my video in ADVMame using ADVConfig
« on: November 10, 2002, 08:11:25 pm »
I'm trying to set up my MAME computer but am losing patience very fast.

I'm currently running ARCADEOs and ADVMame through pure DOS.

When I install all of this (using the Fraggal Boot CD), it asks me to configure my video modes using ADVCFG i think.

I select my video monitor (Wells Gardner U3100) from the list provided, and then asks me to center my screen using the controls provided.

HOWEVER, no matter what I do, the screen continue to "overlap" and can never get the thing to configure correctly.

Any suggestions???

Thanks

Superdude

1st things 1st.  Get rid of Fraggals ADVMAME.  Its old.  Download the newest version 61.4.

Second  Follow the instructions here:
http://www.mame.how.to

They have the best instructions on how to setup mame.  Another good place is
http://easymamecab.mameworld.com

Third what videocard are you using?
