Does this cab look familiar? hehe...
« on: March 15, 2005, 01:25:27 am »
My wife & I went to Jefferson, TX for our 5 yr anniversary... We stayed in a great little B&B right next to the historic disctrict.

Anyhow, this place is littered with antique shops... While we were walking by one bulding that had a "For Lease" sign in the window, I happened to look in & see this.

I about freaked out, & my wife was trying to figure out what the big deal was.

Anyhow, I didn't have a truck or any means of transporting the thing, so I didn't even think to inquire about it's availability.  But it was nice to see one in that great condition (art-wise)
I'm not a freak!...
Oh wait...
Yes I am...

They sawed it in half.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

They sawed it in half.

From a site about DOT:
"The cabinet is HUGE and very hard to move. Because of this, operators often cut them in half, removing the rear artwork section. Finding them intact and working is getting harder and harder, and their value is increasing because of this."
NO MORE!!

I'll bet a determined BYOACer could put it back together and make it look presentable. I would have inquitred about it myself, you can rent a uhaul trailer in any city.

Yup...
It's a slightly newer building...
Near the end of town facing away from the downtown area.  The doors are "in-set" from the front of the building with archways leading up to them.

hehe... It's not like I'm really  trying here is it  ::)
