Soft focus \ Brightness issue on a 52" projection TV
« on: February 15, 2005, 11:04:14 pm »
I just picked up a Magnavox Projection TV and the video is wierd.  It looks like everything is in a soft focus, you know where the colors all have an aura around them?

any idea what causes this, if its normal for some Projection TV's, or if it can be adjusted?

Thanks

yea is that a phillips/magnavox...if so is there a blueish aura around white things or bright things in general...if so then you need to change your fluid in the blue tube as it has gotten to the point where it has dried up or is drying up and cakin on the inside of the tube....i have the same problem with myne and you can find the items to fix this if you look online....i forgot the link but they are out there and they are alot cheaper than having someone do it...unless you dont like opening up electronics and if that is the case bring it to a tv repair shop...

Is that one of the old ones that used mono tubes with the colors in front of them??

Haven't see one of those is a while.
