Smooth Scrolling with SmoothMAME?
« on: November 22, 2005, 12:58:59 pm »
Anyone know whatever happened to SmoothMAME?  The link from the following post is broken:

Getting smooth scrolling on all MAME games with ArcadeVGA

Or, if anyone has any other suggestions for fixing glitching sound and a bit of tearing, I'm a bit perplexed how to fix it.  Seems like triplebuffer fixes tearing, but causes sound problems.  Any way around this?

Just FYI, it seems that waitvsync uses less cpu cycles than triplebuffer.

If I turn on triplebuffer I get about 55/60fps, with waitvsync, I get 60/60, and no sound glitches.
