These sign programs are good but Illustrator can be used with the right RIP software - Have I lost you?  Id stick with illustrator as it known by all in here. At the end of the day they both output EPS files so no real gain IMO.

Ive tried most sign programs and the only limitation ive found is that I can't go bigger than 5.7 metres (hmm roughly 18 feet)

My bro-in-law using Flexisign for his business. He uses it to cut vinyl, not print onto vinyl. He's got a vinyl cutter; looks like a large printer but has a cutting point which cuts through the vinyl. In fact, once he gets it going again, I'm going to ask him to cut the some Mame logos for me for sideart.

Hello,

Flexisign is designed for signmakers.  It costs 2-3 thoushand dollars per seat and depending on the version offers vinyl cutting & printing capabilities.  I use it everyday in my sign business for both.  If you aren't outputting to your own printer you should probably use illustrator.  The biggest difference is you will see lots of functions that signmakers would use in flexi.  As another poster said since illustrator is less expensive and used by so many people in this forum you are more likely to find help when you run into problems.
