Project Altered Beast
« on: January 29, 2005, 05:06:09 pm »
I just played Project Altered Beast; the game that Sega deemed too bad to be released outisde of Asia. And I like it. Does this mean that there's something wrong with me?

It's basically just like the original, but with a little more dimension to the whole thing. You kill bad guys, then pick up their life-force. The more life-force you collect the longer you can remain transformed.  I've only played it for about half an hour and haven't gotten any "genome chips" other than the werewolf one that you start with. But it seems like a pretty good arcade style action game.
Also, the transformation cut scenes are wicked awesome (especially the eyeball-poppin' werewolf one)!  :o

It's a shame that Sega didn't pollish it a little more and release it in the US and Europe. Between this and selling off their sports division, it's a wonder they're releasing any games at all over here.
