Wizard of Wor artwork
« on: December 25, 2004, 03:22:05 pm »
Hello everybody!

I own a Wizard of Wor boardset, but no Cabinet. Here in germany it's impossible to become an original WOW Cabinet, so I'm planning to build up some of my own.
Therefore I need exact measurements of that cabinet, maybe some of you, who own the game (mini upright), would be so kind so mail me a sketch with the measures.
The other, bigger, problem is the artwork.
On eBay is someone, who sell reproduced cpo's, but i was unable to find someone in www, who sell the sideart, marquee (plexi) and bezel.
Is it possible to get some scans or something like that, to reproduce the missing art here in germany?

I hope someone can help me!!!

Best regards from Germany

I own a wizard of wor cabinet, but no boardset :)
It's actually been converted to a Bubble Bobble, which I like just fine.  I can, however, sell you the original WoW glass bezel out of it (shipping would be $$$ though), and take measurements of the cabinet for you.  The side art is there, but Rav's picture is better than any photo I could take of it....

Let me know if you're still interested.

How about actually scanning the bezel and put it into the library for piecing together and vectorising?

This would be great! Because a file is downloadable, a original marquee and / or bezel not ;-)

I didn't realize it had not been done yet! ;D

Sounds fine by me.  I've never scanned a piece of glass before, so we might have some trial and error getting it right, but I will give it a shot and report back tonight, with luck.

I've noticed there's someone (not me) who has the control panel and another with the marquee on ebay.

Anyway, sorry its taken me forever, but the bezel is up on ebay now too (this is me).

Scanning the bezel was pretty poor--I couldn't find a backdrop to place behind it when scanning that would avoid color washout. :(

Here's some measurements for you:
