  • I want my own arcade controls!
I'm looking for a good front end that I can use just for visual pinball. I have searched all over and found that the two front ends designed solely for vp are windows based similiar to mame32(vpman,vp launcher, vpface). So i'm on a mission to get something good./ I looked at 3darcade it looks cool having a 3d area to choose a game but appears to be more work then i need for my tables. I just need something simple with a good clean interface. I tried dragon king as well it was also a bit difficult to get going just for visual pinball.

I myself use game launcher for my other emulators however i'm having a focus issue and can't get the tables to load. If you have any front end that you think works well please let me know.......

ANY front end will launch vp.  The key to your focus issue is to use my wrapper.  The other wrappers are a nice attempt, but they are merely autoit scripts, and therefore are incapable of fixing the focus issue you are having.

On top of that, my advice to you would be to use another fe.  Gamelauncher isn't the most windows friendly fe in the world. It has always been one of my favorites, but I've finally accepted the fact that it's just not real happy unless it's running in it's original dos environment.  Your problems shouldn't be caused by gamelauncher, but the keyword is shouldn't.

there is one already setup in the default skin. did you go in the default skin to the various section and the choose the pinball demo there? its the way i use vp myself.
