Howard could you spare a moment?
« on: January 25, 2005, 02:45:22 pm »
Im using your cmd-launch7.exe wrapper to start Zinc.

It works fine from the command line if i type:

c:\zinc\cmd-launch7.exe strider2

It doesn't work if i type:

c:\zinc\cmd-launch7.exe STRIDER2

I checked that im typing correctly - the only difference is the capitals.

Is your wrapper case sensitive?  If it is, the FE im using will only pass the capitals for the rom name so its not looking like i can use it.  Any ideas?

yeah... why don't you try editing the lconfig.ini and changing all the rom names to upper case :)

The wrapper is case sensitive because, beleive it or not, many command line emus are still case sensitive.

making it non case sensitive would be the best idea in my opionion , their are not allot of computer "users" who have any clue about the differance in caps on things , and the fact that windows long ago decided to toss out any referance to caps in it's file structure makes case sensitive less usefull than it was say 5 years ago.

I changed the references to the rom names in the lconfig.ini file and made them CAPS.  Its easy to do and solved the problem I had with ZiNc.  One step closer...
