Daphne...... Why?

I'm looking into getting Daphne in my cabinet.

As I understand it now, I need:
Daphne
Dragon's Lair Rom images
Mpeg files of all the scenes.

Now..... Tell me if this is right? I could use the original video disc to get the mpeg files, I could use the PC version CD or I could use mpeg files dumped on my hard drive. Is this right?

Why do I need Daphne if I could use the pc version anyways? Is it different? I'm just not totally following.

For just dragon's lair, no, you don;t need daphne.

I sounds like for the most painless running of the games it's preferred to have them on you HD though.... and Daphne is a perfect emulation.... Is there any reliable sources for the mpegs? How huge are they? Tombstones?

Dragons lair is 934 Mbs, which is about average. Some are smaller some are like 1.5gigs. I got the complete(?) set of roms and mpegs from: http://www.top26.net/cgi-bin/out.cgi?123bum123 Theres a few links there. One is MameFans which has almost all of them.  Took me 2 days to get them all.
