No way, some more Light Gun Questions!
« on: September 18, 2002, 06:19:12 pm »
OK my Act Labs gun finally reached me in England yesterday.  It seems to work OK so far, especially with Act Lab's modified version of MAME.

Just wondered if anyone knows how to freakin reload in Under Fire?  I can't seem to figure it out.

Also, is it just me, or are the shots in Operation Thunderbolt one shot behind (ie it fires where the crosshair was just before you pressed the trigger)??

Sorry if these have been answered in other posts, I must have missed them :)

'I don;t have a gun, but the obvious questions for the reload thing is is the second button on the gun mapped to reload in the game?

I can't figure out how to do the Re-load in underfire either.
I tried shooting off screen , second button on gun . mapping to a button on the CP nothin works . I think that games broke till someone figures out how to patch it, Kinda like Zeropoint was till ActLabs fixed it.

Speaking of Actlabs mame build, What gives with the size
10MB for mame32.exe! at that size of course everything ran slow as hell or not at all (Police trainer). I re-compiled their version of the  command line version and mame32 and the size was around 2.8mb.

But they did fix Zeropoint so life is good again!

I too tried the second button etc.  As you say perhaps it's broken.

I think Act Labs' exe's are only large because they skipped the UPX compression part when compiling - I wouldn't have thought they should run slower tho (?)
