Most Popular Boards By Activity
« on: November 22, 2004, 01:55:53 am »
I'm just sitting here checking out the new features, and checked out my profile.....in there is the stat mentioned in the title of this thread.....I simply can't believe that the CONGA LINE forum is the most popular.  True, the changeover is only an hour old, but DAMN!  I've seen more folks who've come here for the "free" crap than showed up to post in the political threads!

And the worst part, to me, is that my biting sarcastic comments are lost on them!  When I tell someone "thanks for stopping by....perhaps for your 12th post you'll post in the buy/sell/trade forum" and it either goes right over their head, or they say "maybe, if I get my (insert free item they are in a line for here) I'll sell it to someone here".

Just my rant, had to get it off my chest.  Thanks

Mine shows this as the most popular boards by activity
Board/Website discussion         0.73%
Main Forum                               0.37%
Software Forum                            0.36%
Hall Of Fame nominations       0.28%
Everything Else                      0.27%
Project Announcements               0.22%
Audio/Jukebox/MP3 Forum          0.10%
Monitor/Video Forum                 0.09%
Consoles                                0.02%
Artwork                                 0.01%
I don't see the conga line anywhere.

I just checked out the notifications section and noticed I was subscribed to a thread I started way back in June 2002.  I don't remember ever subscribing to it so people might just want to check that out to ensure you don't start receiving notifications.

That's really wierd...I just went back to check yet again, and I get WAY different stats!  I wonder if that refers to views in a particular forum!  I haven't posted to the Conga Line forum for AGES, and today is the first time I "re-saw" them, and decided to check 'em out.

Only thing is, I don't remember opening up the software forum, so why does it have a percentage for me....unless I'm having a "senior moment"

im guessing that since its starting from fresh, youll get wildly oscillating results for a while. for instance if youd checked just as the new look was released and it so happened that only two people had at that point checked an 'artwork' thread then 'artwork' would show 100% and that nothing else has been looked at.
you're welcome.

i'm telling you this on the proviso that i get my free doohicky from the congo line, which i can sell to you cheap...

edit: actually, i just looked at what you were talking about. looks accurate to me. maybe it was in a 'twilight zone' when you looked?

p.s: wanna buy a doohicky? got it on a congo line...

Actually, I was looking for a dodDAD, the one with the purple glitter and the mauve feathers on the backside.  OH, and if you have the version with the metal studs around the bronson bracket, I'd naturally pay extra for that.

If it has a carrying case, it's gotta be the metal chain version.

Is that the Aussie version of yurple?  Is that the one with the carrying case shaped like a 'roo?

I'd take one of those, but it's OBVIOUSLY not my first choice  ;)

Hi,
I think the most popular by activity under the profile. Refers to the percentage of posts that you have made to particular board.
I thiink it means that you are responsible for X% of posts in that board.

I've never posted in the conga board so it doesnt even show for me.

Looks like you are responlsible for 3.8 % of all the posts on the conga board.

That's what I was thinking, but there's just no way I have even 1% of total posts in the conga lines!  What I'm now thinking it refers to is the percentage of posts for the day in each particular forum....dang it, now I'm off to check it again :)
