Interesting project.  Are you going to go with original Star Wars artwork?

OK started stripping down the Pharoahs Gold:

And removed the control panel from Vapor Trx:

While taken out I noticed the yoke has a motor attached:

Could I use this some how for force feed back/rumble?  ???

well if the motor isnt capable of force feed then i doubt it.i would have thought for force feed you would have had to buy the correct (is it a yoke?) type.
:)

I meant as I'm going to be using emulation in this cab then perhaps I could rig something up to 'jiggle' the motor back and forth to emulate rumble .
For example if I hack a controller that has rumble then I could connect the rumble wire to a circuit with a relay to switch on a mono stable multi vibrator (anyone remember them?). That could flick the voltage back and forth causing the motor to run back and forward giving a rumble effect on the yoke.
For force feedback something similar where it try to steer the opposite way giving you a hard time to steer.

Wasn't there a hacked mame or final burn that had force feedback?

OK complete change of plans now. Still gonna be a Star Wars Cab with Yoke but I may add 2 player controls.
Still undecided.
