Artwork Plea...
« on: November 14, 2004, 12:09:03 pm »
I am a bit stuck on my cab's progression thanks to my lack of artwork skills... long story short I could use someone's help to vectorise (Illustrator) my marquee & control panel image (vector-ish atm in Fireworks), but also help with some ideas for sideart.

I have no knowledge of Illustrator, and very limited knowledge of any other graphics packages.  While I would like to learn how to use them and do it myself, I can't find the time to do it.

So really what I am asking is would anyone be prepared to spend some time on this for me?  I was kindof hoping there might be some MAMEWAH user who would like to do me a favour... ;)

Assuming this isn't just the System 1 marquee from your Project Announcements thread...  Could you post scaled down versions of the images in question?  I'd imagine I'm not the only one who would want to have an idea of the complexity before volunteering for anything.  Getting in over one's head is never a good thing.  ^^

Sure, basically yes the marquee I have - I am happy with it but I would like to convert it to IPS from a Fireworks PNG (this is scaled down):

Basically if someone were to do those two parts for me I would be very grateful.  I would still eventually have to make some other images for my other 3 control panels, but hopefully I could work from this one.  Also I would have to do sideart but again hopefully I could use elements from the marquee/CP image to get me started at least.

Of course if someone wanted to do the lot for me then great!  :D

It looks like something I should be able to handle...  If you don't need it right away, I'm willing to give it a shot.  Might take me as much as a couple of weeks to get it done between work, research papers, impending finals, holidays, and a not-so-nice cold.  :p

If that's alright, go ahead and post the larger versions and I'll see what I can do.

Great, that's very kind of you :)  I'll post the bigger pics when I get home - can you open Fireworks PNG's OK?  I can save in different formats if neccessary...

Also, no worries on the time scale - I have plenty of other stuff to continue on with so take as long as you like...

The files are too large for me to post (one is ~300kb and the other ~1meg) - could you PM me your email address if that's ok?
