Should I expand my cabinet to accomadate a 27" TV?

You can always just uncase the sucker, and then it should fit in any big cabinet.

I am about to shoehorn a 27" monitor vertically in a classic 19" cabinet.

512 mb ddr ram

i've ran everything except the mortalk kombats, nba jam, stuff like that digitized graphics full speed when i had 256 in a 733mhz

so you'll be fine

Those are the exact games I'm worried about.... so they don't run on your computer full speed?

I'm not too concerned about power-on problems, I'm just going to rewire the power/volume/channel buttons to actual pushbuttons underneath near the computer so I can turn the computer/TV on while I'm down there.

Anyway about uncasing the TV, are there any dangers to that? I mean I would take the proper precautions but I mean while it's in there and on should I have anything to worry about? Would I need shielded speakers with it uncased? Any modifications needed to a TV without a case or will it sit on the monitor shelf perfectly?

paigeoliver:
When uncased you will have to mount the tube on a piece of wood, and the monitor chassis on another piece of wood.

One thing paige forgot to mention is discharging the tv. Would be a really good idea to read the follow page

Hope this fixes up and concers you have about opening up your tv. I've done this, its a bit scary the first time, but keep one hand in your pocket and you'll do fine.
