Min, your not going to believe this. I dowloaded your new exe, dropped it in the folder, and the mamewah still lists the emu's in the wrong order. My ini's are titled
05-mame
10-daphne
15-visualpinball
25-atari2600

I deleted the ini folder and started over, dropping the ini files in one at a time in the order I wanted, launcing mamewah in between each one. When I had just mame, daphne and visual pinball they were ordered correctly, but when I put atari in the folder it screwed up the other ones!
The order is now
mame
atari
Visualpinball
daphne

If I take atari back out, daphne and visual pinball are still backwards, even though they were correct before I put atai in the ini folder.

What am I missing here? It does it on 2 cabs.

Thanks
Todd

Minwah,

I tried to post this in Mame World Forum but I was unable to logon for some reason...

I just downloaded and unzipped the beta files to my computer here at work.  I am getting a strange result.

After I launch a game and then exit back to Mamewah, games start launching with any key press.  Even Esc launches the currently selected game.  The only way to get out is ctrl-alt-del and try to end Mamewah through Windows Task Mngr.  (which is hard when you can't see the cursor).   Then I lose my task bar so I have to launch Mamewah and then exit to regain it.

I copied my previous Mamewah.exe back into the directory and everything worked fine.  Copied the Mamewah-Beta back and it acted up agian.

This is on a Dell P4 1.7 with Windows XP Pro SP1

By the way,  thanks for all the hard work.  It is greatly appreciated by many.

That is wierd.  I take it this is with MAME?

OK.

I narrowed down the cuplrit = MOUSE_BUTTON0

I re-installed the latest MAMEWAH and MAME in new directories, then copied the MAMEWAH-Beta and the ICO file - worked fine.

(I actually named it mamewah-beta so that I had both EXE files in the directory so that I could easily launch each one to figure this out)

I then started copying my MAEWAH.INI file and then my directories, one at a time, into the fresh mamewah directory.  I tested both the MAMEWAH.exe and MAMEWAH-BETA.exe after each file/directory was copied to verify when the error occured.

It finally happened when I copied over my \CTRLR directory.  Again, it happened with the BETA but not the 1.52 version.

The only differences between the two is that the one that acted up had mouse inputs assigned.  MOUSE_BUTTON0 was assigned to launch a game.

I cut and pasted this entry to 'next list' and after returning to MAMEWAH after launching a game, it started advancing the game lists almost at random and with every key press/mouse movement.  I changed it to MOUSE_BUTTON1 and everything worked fine, even the right mouse button.

Go figure....

Thanks, I think I know what it is now (never thought of this before)...

I added a simulated mouse-click after quitting a game in order to make sure MAMEWAH gets focus back.  Cheap I know, but it works every time - other methods seem to lose focus at times (with certain apps).  I just need to make it ignore this input after returning...

Will this ignore just the simulated mouse click?  Or the actual button/mouse press?

Just the simulated one...what I'll have to do is make sure the mouse is not acquired until after the simulated press (althought I thought it did that already  ::) )
