Display on Eygo monitor inverted
« on: September 11, 2002, 05:50:00 pm »
I just picked up an 19" Eygo monitor and the picture is inverted like you are looking at it through a mirror.

Any idea on how to fix this.

TIA.

If you mean from top to bottom it's okay, but left->right is messed up, then it sounds like your Horizontal Yoke wire is swapped.

The yoke wires should connect from the yoke to a removable connector on the main chassis board.

The connector looks sort of like this (as best as ASCII art can do)

| |  | |  | |      | |
| |  | |  | |\    | |
| |  | |  | |  \  | |
| |  | |  | |   \ | |

If the colors used are the same as industry standard, they should be in this order, per the above picture:

Brown White Grey Red

If the connector doesn't have a wider pin at the right, it may have the following colors:

Red Blue Yellow Green

You need to swap White/Red wires (first connector) or Blue/Red (second connectors to reverse the way horizontal is drawn.

A VERY COMPLETE description of this, the dangers (NEVER mismatch the connectors if you're not sure, you will end up frying the yoke or board or something else more important (you) if you dont know what you're doing), read the following page at TheRealBobRoberts.Com

Thanks to for the help.  Switched the connectors (a few times) and finally got the proper display.

You guys are great.
