Hard to tell. Based on Afgahnistan, yes we might have.If they didn't have oil, they wouldn't have had the money to make the weapons (like countries in Africa) so we wouldn't have a reason to go after WMD or stop Saddam because he wouldn't have had the funds to gain weapons.
Yup. At the time we thought he had weapons and knew he had the desire to detroy us. After losing 3000 innocents (eight of which were close friends of mine,) we needed to be absolutely sure that Saddam and Osama didn't form a club. It is pretty simple, really.Despite the conspiracy theories, oil had nothing to do with it.
hey, wait a sec, you said no debate. :-)
Without oil there would be no Saddam Hussain, not one who could do anything more than dream of WMDs. There would have ben no reason to invade. The entire region would just be a backwards dustbowl that the world at large would pay little (if any) attention to.
why are we Americans still at war with Iraq?

So it's been proven to be BS that we didn't invade them to steal their oil? Or are you wanting to change your answer too now?
