Question on Sanyo 20 EZV monitor
« on: September 06, 2004, 04:39:36 pm »
Hello all: I have a question on a Sanyo 20EZV that I'm hoping someone could answer.  I finally have my DK JR project almost completed (you could see the latest pic in the New Project Announcements section), and did a test fit and try out before I take it all apart to paint it.  However, when I fired it all up the picture was OK except it was completely upside-down.  The monitor has the inverter board with the "non-invert out" and "invert out" outputs, but when I switch it to "non-invert out" I get no picture at all - besides I think the non inver out may be the color inversion as opposed to orientation (not sure).  Can anyone help me out?

Could it be that the "non-invert out" is the correct fix and that part of the board is dead?

Thanks,
Joe

I think I may have found the issue:
someone may have swapped the horizontal and vertical wires on the yoke.  I got the idea after looking at some stuff on the net, then read Bob Roberts' page on it and decided to take a look.  If you look at the pic, it loks like the yellow and green wires are re-routed between the cover, and the yellow and blue wires clipped (the blue is above the yellow and may be hard to see).  If anyone has a minute, could someone take a look at their Sanyo 20 EZV monitor and verify this?  Also, if anyone has some insight into swapping the wires back I would appreciate it as I've never done this before and have no idea what will happen if I do it wrong.

Here's the pic:

Thanks,

Joe
