New MAME cab for a friend
« on: September 05, 2004, 12:06:44 am »
My friend Phil (in the pictures) wanted a MAME cabinet to call his own. I decided to help him out on his project. I am donating tools, space, labor, etc...

We sanded down the cab today. I picked up two free cabinets in Monterey last weekend. One was an Outrun in a former life (converted to a fighter), the other, an Atari cab (probably a Pit fighter). Both had coin doors and backs. They also had monster sized black widows inside...geez!

The Outrun fighter had a very cool control panel mod. very well done. You can see one of the sides removed in the photos. After Phil left today, I performed bondo surgury on the cabinet.

Hopefully Phil will join BYOAC and make a website of our journey.
