I'm so impressed, that is one sensational job. This is just what I want, but have no room, tools, knowledge or time to even attempt building. It would match the other old Aussie upright I'm restoring to a tea.

...and more "classic" for Aussies than the upcoming Ozstick cocktail which is based on the common US style (haven't ever seen a real one of those here) which can be found here:

Plus, what I love, is that the panel isn't mounted vertically into the side of the cabinet which can give you very, very sore wrists after playing Galaga and the like! Unfortunately about 90% of our cocktails I've ever come across are like that.

Soooooo, if you ever consider making another or if somebody pulls out please keep me in mind for first chance to buy. I am definately getting a cocktail and this is like my dream cabinet.

I'd be over the moon if you could just sell me the cab without CP cut, I could customise that on my own, even order my own glass and you could leave it empty altogether so I'd handle selecting and mounting the monitor too :) Starting to see how much I dig your work yet?

good one!! its all starting to happen with the 'aussie' style cabs (",). that ebay one isnt that bad, but not what i would want (gotta have steel legs). edit: he IS selling THOSE stools though. so thats a plus  :)
and yes, what are ozstick doing selling the US style?
your glass clips are great! i realised after i made mine that really they should look something like what youve made, but im happy with mine (cant be bothered making new ones anyway!).
let us know when you have a site.

actually, i should start putting links to more 'aussie' style cabs on my site. helps give more resources so 'strines' arent tempted into building yank cabs  ;)

Hey I think your cabinet is great.  :) Yes it is great to see Aussie cab's being built. Very well done.... I like where your CP is positioned, makes for more comfy gameplay. I have an Aussie Gaplus (Galaga3) cocktail cabinet and the CP is lower and you can get sore wrists after playing.

Of course the perfect addition for cocktail cabinets are those "Tam Tam Stools"...... I bought 2X white Caroma stools for my cab from Bunnings Hardware store $22 ea just a few months ago. We still have an original green Caroma stool from the 80's.... and the Bunnings stools are exactly the same. The two white stools look perfect with a retro cocktail cabinet....

can i ask how you did the CP? is it a metal one or did you make one out of wood/ply etc
