Problem with AVGA MAME RES TOOL
« on: August 10, 2004, 05:09:56 pm »
I'm trying the new version of AVGA MAME RES TOOL with MAME 0.85 and I can't get it to work. I do exactly as before, but now the list of games with resolutions never appears. Any idea what can be wrong?

I wonder if the AVGA tool has been updated to support the new XML output from MAME 84 >.

Try ArcadeVGA M.A.M.E. Resolution Tool

Yes it has :)

Now you just need to hit View > Generate Native Resolution List.  This is because the 'Legacy MAME' option may not be set correctly after setting your MAME exe.

MinWah, I still can't get the Res. Tool to work for me either!! I erased the cnfg. file and tried it again as you said in another thread of mine, still didn't work. So I uninstalled it, re-Installed it and got the same thing!! Whats' the deal?

Should I download it again and try it?

BTW, I'm using XP PRO's unzipping software, should I use WinZIP instead?

Would that make a difference?
Donkey Kong Hi Scores:

Zip prog. won't make any difference...

Someone at the MameWorld board just reported a bug with the tool + MAME v0.85...I'll have a look when I can...

Minwah- Any luck yet?

Btw- I saw once before where we can donate for your time/effort.Can't find it now. I just started using Mamewah and have been watching this board and see you seem to devote ALOT of time/effort in supporting this program.
I would definitly donate some $ to the cause.  ;) ;)

OK I just gave it a shot with MAME v0.85u2 - it seemed to work fine for me.

Uninstalling shouldn't make any difference, but make sure you have the latest version (1.02).

If anyone wants they can donate using PayPal to my main email address :)
