Windows 98 based cab config question
« on: August 13, 2004, 06:58:11 pm »
Hi All,

I'm planning out my cab right now and have a question about Windows 98.  I'd like to boot to whatever front end I decide on as a shell so I don't have to look at Windows while I'm playing, but I'd still like to be able to access explorer as my shell for admin.  If I modify the MSDOS.sys file to BootMulti=1 and add the [MENU] info to Config.sys, can I use autoexec.bat to call different versions of the System.ini file based on the Menu choice selected?  I know I can use the auotexec.bat to call win or DOS or any other app based on the menu, but can it call system.ini for the front end or system2.ini for windows or system3.ini for ???

Sorry for the long post and thanks for any info you can provide.

Dave
