Why was there never a Voltron arcade game?

Why was there never a Voltron arcade game? Seriously.  There was a Tranzor Z (Mazinger Z) game, Ultraman, GI Joe, Gundam, and so on, but no Voltron game?  Seems like an easy show-to-game translation...  Any thoughts?

because you'd have to be 1 lion...and after so much of getting your ass kicked you'd have to join with the other lions to win.  Voltron was the same every episode....it's like...why even try as lions?  just form Voltron for god's sake!

maybe it was to teach us as kids that on our own we'll fail and we need to work together as teams.  :)

But that would make for an easy concept for a scrolling shooter (since the lions flew).  If you collect all of the letters in "Voltron" your lion would become Voltron.  Additionally, you could select from any of the lions each with it's own special attacks. Seems like such an obvious next step.  Sure, the episodes were redundant, but we all loved it.  Additionally, weren't there a couple other Voltrons? I know about the lion on and the car one, but wasn't there a third?

Another game you never saw was Tranformers.  Or, come to think of it, Gobots.  Why is it that some of the better cartoons never had games made but there are games for Sailor Moon (a horrible series)?

Good question. I would have loved a Go-Bots game.  I think the real question with a transformer or Go-Bots game is what sort of game will it be? Fighter? Scrolling beat-em up? shooter?

A fighter or a scroller would probably work for them.  Come to think of it a scroller where you could change forms (a little similar to Altered Beast but with robots) would make for a fun game.  As long as they didn't give you that stupid little robot Scooter to begin the game with.   ;D
