No mouse in analog+ with Optipac
« on: July 16, 2004, 08:43:52 am »
I tagged onto another thread but I don't think anyone saw my question way down there so ...

I have analog+ (.74.2) and an optipac with a trackball and 2 spinners in XP (as well as 2 light guns).  When I go into "controls this game"  it sees the left mouse button as mouse 4 button 0.  So going into mouse controls i pick mouse 4 for player 1 dial and analog+ does not pick any of my devices up (not the trackball or either spinner).  It also doesn't pick up when i have the mouse set from sysmouse all the way to mouse 4.

Taken from my INI file:

Quote
### Input device options ###
mouse                   1
joystick                1
lightgun                1
steadykey               0
keyboard_leds           1
a2d_deadzone            0.300000
# ctrlr                 <NULL> (not set)

### Analog+ options ###
analogpedal             1
singlemouse             0
switchablemice          1
switchmiceaxes          0
splitmouseaxes          0
resetmouseaxes          0
lightgun2a              0
lightgun2b              1
multimouse_winxp        1

what do i need to do to get a mouse/dial in analog+???

Should also mention that the trackball/spinners work fine under windows
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

ok update (although for 0 views it doesn't look like this problem is going to get solved here :P)  I just plugged in two mice to the home pc with the same configuration as the mame machine and both are recognized as separate and distinct.  I guess the problem lies with how the optipac is interfaced with the pc or the lightguns are throwing off the program...

is it the serial version?

analog mame can't handle multiple serial mice (I don't think).
