Finally...It has begun
« on: July 29, 2004, 05:59:13 pm »
Finally, after 3 long years of sitting on my butt and talking about it, I started by 3rd, and hopefully best, cabinet....My first cab was built way back in 1991 before the net and byoac were around....Needless to say it wasnt that great....I hooked up my sega genesis to it and it left much to be desired.  My second go round was in 99 and having learned from my prior mistakes, came out much better but the controls were not that great.  I loved that machine, which was modeled after an nfl blitz cab, but ultimately I had to take it apart.  I've missed having it and now I finally started my new cab.  Its actually the first of 3 new cabs i'm going to build.  This one is a showcase cabinet using my 36" wega tv.  I recently bought a 60" sony lcd tv and a 65" sony projection so my once might wega is now a "throwaway" tv....hehe...I just finished up the control panel and am working in photoshop on the artwork...I'll post pics of my artwork if anyone is interested...As soon as I finish this one I plan on doing a racing cabinet which I'm designing right now....Once that one is done I plan on making a DDR machine....Needless to say I have a lot of work ahead....This site has been instrumental in helping me design the cabs as well as motivating me to do this...I'll post pics as the work moves along.....
