Mamewah + Pinmame
« on: July 07, 2004, 10:11:46 pm »
Hi,

I've just recently checked out all the pinball emulation stuff out there and it's great!  I can't belive I didn't look into it sooner.

Anyway,
I'm trying to get Pinmame + Visual Pinball to launch correctly through mamewah.

I've heard of something called Pinloader, but their site is dead.  I think I need a wrapper or launcher of some kind?

Could someone give me a quick run-through how to set it up so the tables can be selected through mamewah, launched with "1" and exited with "Esc".

It would be much appreciated.

What did you guys do to get the tables to show up?  I downloaded the table file, I followed the instructions and unzipped it and put it in a folder called tables, but it doesn't actually do anything.  When I ran the installer on visual pinmame it didn't create a folder called tables, I had to do that myself.

I did install a frontend made by a German guy, and it wants me to point at an exe for pinmame, but there isn't one except one inside a test folder!

I am sure I am messing it all up but it doesn't seem like it should be that different from MAME, or that hard.

I do get the window opened with the red pinball numbers and the sounds and I can insert coins, etc.  I just cant see the table/play the game.
