A college buddy of mine is auditioning to be a host of some Vietnamese American show (not exactly "friends" but beats waiting tables)...

I was hoping some of you could help me rock the vote in his favor...

Vietnamese American Xposure Host vote and vote for CHARLIE please.

A host of a Vietnamese American show named Charlie. It doesn't matter if he's a friend of yours or not, that alone makes him worth voting for.

He's only has 3.8% of the vote, come on people!

Yeah a warning would have been nice. lol, I was looking at that page and after a few seconds of reading, I realized it was a hottest hunk type page. I quickly looked around to make sure no coworkers saw what I was doing.

Note: I think you can vote multiple times... like every hour or so, if you are that crazy/obsessive... although it seems to check by IP, as a friend at work couldn't vote, because i voted already..but later I could vote again... *shrug*

I don't know why, but this is really compelling/adictive... I mean I want Charlie to win and be succesful, but I don't care *that* much, but some how i'm addicted to watching his ranking go up and re-voting... it's like ebay bidding sorta...

I voted 3 times for Charlie, but I have to leave work now. And of course now I get this idea.

How long does this thing go for?

After you guys vote for Charlie go to the female section and vote for "Phuong-Cac", she's at the bottom with .1% of the vote, I want to see how powerful arcadecontrols.com is.

Like I said I have to leave work now, but I can't wait to check it tomorrow to see how much clout we have on the internet.

thanks again guys... charlie is back up to 9.6%, he had eclipsed 10 for a little while... but obviously as other votes get spread around the percentage dips...

on my last vote on the ladies side phuong cac was at .5% (although obviously there's a larger pool of votes on the ladies side so it's still signifigant/harder to bump her up)

I haven't been able to cast a vote since 3pm and it looks like the whole site isn't working.

To bad, Phong-Cac was getting close to breaking 1%.

Last time I checked she was at .8% I think, and Charlie was over 10% but still in 5th place. The number one guy was at 16% and 2nd to 4th had 11%, so Charlie still had a lot of catching up to do.

I voted for Charlie 3 times today. I must be in Florida....

Based on the 3563 total votes. 1st place Eliver has 16.3% or 580 votes

Charlie is now it 4th with 9.8% of the vote or 350 votes. We need to gain at least 250 + votes tomorrow in order to come close to winning.

thank you for your dilligence (well everyone for their dilligence...)... I get the distinct feeling that someone ran a script at the beginning of the contest as I don't see how Eliver jumped out to such a commanding lead, without er... being stunningly handsome (you know what I mean?) I call shennanigans (beyond the shennanigns we are running)...

*shrug* I tried getting the link/plea on Fark (which is famous for swinging online votes... they got hank the drunken angry dwarf (RIP) to the top of Time's most beautiful people poll...

Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for voting. Your support has pushed me to the sixth spot. Thank you for that...

Now a couple of things has come to my attention.

The producers of the show informed me that the judging is getting to the wire and also very close. They will close the polls on Sunday the 27th at midnight, Pacific time. They said that the final deciding factor will be the VOTES.

Another thing, my brother pointed out is that you can vote more than once. Now I generally want to win fairly but I think the Leader, Mr. UNI-Brow, has to be getting people logging in again and again.

So I need your help once more. When you're online...just jump to the page and vote for me...CHARLIE...again.

BTW Charlie mentioned to me that he's in a fedex/kinko's commercial but doesn't know when it will air (possibly around the olympics)... so maybe several months from now you can say, "hey I voted for him to get some cheezy show..." and your wife will just look at you like you are crazy, just like always...

come OOOONNNNN people, we've got more pull than this! Enlist your friends, neighbors relatives, etc.

Someone said they think a script was used to get the unibrow up so high, we've got decent programmers here....someone write me such a script and I'll be willing to put it on 7 always-on PC's to help this effort.

I don't even know the guy, I just like the challenge of swaying public opinion by manipulating the facts. lol

If someone knows of a ridiculous web election before it begins you should post it here, we could figure out who the underdog is going to be and then try to tilt the election to his/hers/its favor.

It'll be like an online team game, that involves no skill and little time.

fwiw, I did try to rock the vote... but it was a little too late... (hint you can use anonymous proxy's to appear to be many different people in many different locations with different ip's)... If i was a little smarter or cobbled together some sort of macro we coulda put 'em over the top...

but it is kinda amazing.. my math is shot, but I think we racked up like 800 votes (give or take)...
