Get rid of Dell BIOS screen @ startup?

There are also programs out there that let you change the spash screen.  Check around for one for your particular chipset.  Be careful though, as you can really mess things up if you're not careful!

You will want to set 'Boot-Time Diagnostics Screen' to 'Enabled' in the BIOS. That should do it

From an old forum, though.... I guess this gets rid of Dell logo and shows diagnostics...

Shouldn't you be able to update the BIOS, Peale?  I know  proprietary items are a favorite to use, but the motherboard should be a readily available thing, so I bet you can get a BIOS update and solve that.

I did find a site that said they had BIOS updates for the board, but I'm reluctant to use them, in case they hose the board.  It's not from the manufacturer, or I might try it.
