Hi all,

Sorry for the lack of updates, the last few weeks have been hectic with ReallifeTM.  Hopefully I'll have it completed within the next week.

Sweet! That is awesome - I have the latest blue one saved...I would really love to use this as my CP overlay...if that is cool with you ;]

Of course, it would have to be a big version for printing (23 by 7)  ;D
5 MAME cabs and counting...

Ever wonder what full side art looks like?

Anyone heard from Rom lately? I sent him an email ages ago and never got a reply... either way does anybody have a hi res picture of those marquees? They rock!  ;)
Arthur: The swallow may fly south with the sun, or the house martin or the plover seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land.

Hi all,

I'm sorry for the long delay in getting this marquee to you. Personal circumstances have meant that anything arcade related has been put on permanent hold. Things are just slowly coming right so hopefully the passion to build a cabinet will come back.

As for the marquee, it is at a stage that would be acceptable to most if not all people. Being a bit of a perfectionist I had wanted to touch up a few things which in reality probably wouldn't be noticed. There was also the dilemma of not being the first to print it. I know that what you see on the screen isn't always what you get when it is printed out. As I'm not able to print out the marquee I didn't like the idea of making it available and having someone else be a guinea pig. I know print costs are high so I would hate for someone to find it didn't turn out as expected.

On that note, I will make the file available but please realise that I haven't printed it out so have no idea how the colours will come out. I have the file sitting here as a 2.5mb jpeg which I'm hoping that one of the members of this board would be good enough to host for me as I don't have any hosting space.

Thanks for your patience.

I must say that's some talented work!!  Very cool visual effect, I loved your marquee, and that background is freakin awesome if I were to ever be lazy and need a quickie background :)  I'm still suuuuper impressed on how much time you put into this one making it all 3D and everything.  Totally surpasses my visual skills in every way which is awesome cause it means I have that much more to learn.  You should totally post some kind of tutorial on how you did this big accomplishment, I mean you dont have to go step by step, but a basic layout of how you did it would be freakin awesome.
     -Amazing work again

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of ROM's background.  The above links no longer work.   (I missed it when it became available) Also, I guess no one passed it along to Saint as I didn't see it among the marquees on arcadecontrols.com.

I'd like to use this as a background for my marque  (as long as that's okay with ROM).
