Got me an 8Liner chassis after too much time waisted on my Kortek and I hooked it up and the monitor did something that it hasnt done in a long while... It turned on! Woo hoo, one headache down.
Now I was having trouble with the Card at first with the blue screen coming up and winxp rebooting but I fixed that reading the troubleshooting, my next problem however isn't in the trouble shooting guide.
My monitor turns on and XP loads and it doesn't reboot or have any blue screen pop ups but it's very unclear, there are lines going through it, it's discolored and compressed a bit, I tried playing with the board to see if that was the problem but it didn't do anything, the picture couldn't become any taller than it was and the colors were still messed up.
I'm using the monitor port on the left not the extra one that comes on the right, I tried using that one and it didnt work for either my arcade or my monitor.
Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Have you adjusted the brightness and focus on the flyback?  you should be able to get it pretty sharp doing that--as far as the screen size goes , if the adjustments didn't make any difference maybe the tube and the 8-liners aren't as compatible as they should be??  just a wild guess I don't really know.
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

The 8liners chassis is CGA (standard res). I don't think it can do VGA.

The chassis is CGA, which is 15khz, which the ArcadeVGA is built to output on.
The arcadeVGA should ABSOLUTELY work with that monitor.

Maybe they should change the name of the thing to Arcade CGA instead. It is rather confusing. ???

Try setting the resolution to 640x288 or a non-interlaced res and see if that improves anything.  Any mode below 300 vertical lines is non-interlaced.

If the colors are wrong, try degaussing it, or use a manual degaussing coil.

Try adjusting the controls on it.
