Hey Everyone,
I have been looking for a couple of generic MAME bezels (horizonal and vertical) that maximize top and bottom of screen and have a black semi realististic looking bezel on the sides. Something like the ones I've attached. They are from TR Old School Gamer on Youtube from his videos. I reached out to him about them but he never got back to me.
Does anyone have any bezels in this style they could share?

Thanks.

.........um........what?  Like, you want black areas that get displayed? Or do you mean physical, plastic-y bits that go on the outside?

Curious: do you have the 1943 brightness/contrast/gamma different than stock?

I'm looking for bezels like the ones I posted. Those were screenhots from a youtube video. So not high enough quality to be usable. I was hoping someone might have bezel files like the ones from the screenshots I posted.
Since the pics I posted are screenshots from TROld School Games on YT, I don't know is 1943 settings. I asked him about his settings. He never responded.

If you already have the layout files from Mr Do's:
- Launch the game in MAME.
- Go to the MAME "Video Options" menu.
- Switch to a video view with artwork instead of Standard or Pixel Aspect.
- Change "View" from "Full" to "Cropped".

If you don't have the layout files from Mr Do's yet, the MameWorld site is having problems with their .SQL server setup so the MAME IN-GAME ARTWORK page doesn't show the list of games/artwork.   :banghead:

The good news is that the files are all still there on the MameWorld server.

To download them:

- Open this archived version of the page.
https://web.archive.org/web/20241218125424/http://mrdo.mameworld.info/mame_artwork_ingame.php

- Find the desired game.

- Right click on the ROMname.zip link on the left side and copy link.

- In a second browser tab, paste the link then delete the archive.org part of the URL.
For example, trim the link for the Asteroids layout file from this . . .
Code: [Select]
https://web.archive.org/web/20241218125424/http://mrdo.mameworld.info/artwork/asteroid.zip. . . to this.
Code: [Select]
http://mrdo.mameworld.info/artwork/asteroid.zip
- When your browser goes to that URL, it will download the .zip file.  Save it in your "..\MAME\artwork\" folder.  Leave it zipped.

- If you're feeling adventurous, you should be able to just change "asteroid" in that last URL to the ROMname of the next game.
