I won't start on it till I have a significant deposit, so whenever that happens.

You are a smart man.  ;)
Well, the thing is, I hear it ALL THE TIME whenever someone comes over and sees the ones I have done, or watches one of my videos on YouTube/Facebook of the work I've done... "MAKE ME ONE, HOW MUCH WILL IT COST".

Then when you lay a price tag on it for them, they tend to back off or simply just keep bugging you about it like your a phucking millionare who will make them every weekend and give them away for a couple hundred bucks.

We probably don't help our cause when we tell them how much we enjoy building them.

Still have that weird Xenophobe pedestal thing?  I always liked that.

I still have your Combatribes board in a box.... :-P

Combatribes! What a turd.

That cabinet is gone. I sold it for cost to a buddy. In hindsight, I should have built a pedestal. It was a decent cabinet.

I was a BYOAC n00b at the time. Too bad I didn't know we'd still be talking 10+ years later I would've met you somewhere else - a dumpster perhaps. My work was a little stuffy and I believe we did a smash and grab type trade off. :)

June 2006.  18 and a half years later… good lord…. Anyway, this is still the only JAMMA I have laying around and had to test my new super gun.

It works disturbingly well.  I pumped in $35 worth of credits and slogged my way through.

I also wanted to necrobump a thread.

I was going to start building another cab as soon as I finished my last one about this time last year. I'm almost ready to start now  ;D

How depressing. Instead I started building an ultralight and haven't had any fun since 🫤

Some times, an idea is so dumb you have to try it.

Here’s JAMMA with -5 and 12V tweak circuit, JAMMA to Zaxxon cabinet, Zaxxon board to JAMMA, to JAMMA with +5v status display, to JAMMA super gun adapters.

The setup works fine.

My self inflicted stupidity may be even worse.
I agreed to help an old boss with a few projects- back in March.
Now I'm running two jobs for him- on top of two others of my own that I'm still trying to finish.

Talk about no fun- and no time for any either.

What is even sillier is the possibility that you happened to have these things just laying around to build this thing?!
Fun that it works though of course.

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools! I can fix it.
