Hey, guys! I'm pretty close to done with re-wiring my restored Mortal Kombat cabinet. Unfortunately, not being an electrician, I'm second-guessing my ability to accurately understand the wiring diagram. I uploaded an image that uses color in the areas where I have questions.
My first question concerns the Coin Chute lights. There is a Yellow and White-Yellow wire that both read 5.9Vac. Tracing it back on the diagram, I see it goes to the transformer, but since I have a newer Wells-Gardner CRT monitor with a standard power plug, I don't have the isolation transformer, line filter, or any of that. Is there another, simple way I can run the 5.9 Vac to Coin Door to power the coin door lights?
My second question concerns the coin meter. There is a Gray +5V wire (that runs to the Coin Meter?). Tracing it back, it looks like it goes to pin 3 of the J3 connector on the PCB, but I just wanted to verify if that was correct. If so, what's the best way to connect and run this wire? Just a single pin wire to the coin door harness?
My last question is about the speakers (Red-Violet and Green-Violet off the JAMMA) and the volume control (Orange-White and Green-White from P5 on the sound board). Again, not being an electrician, I'm not sure what those squiggly lines to the right of "Volume Control" mean. This is my first arcade cabinet, so I'm assuming all volume adjustments go from the control pot > sound board > through JAMMA > to speakers? How do you control volume on PCBs that don't have a sound board?
