Can & be run on a arcade monitor at 800x600?

I am looking into adding teknoparrot to my arcade cabinet that has a d9400 quad sync monitor that max is 800x600. Is teknoparrot only for lcd monitors that can handle higher res?

I've never used teknoparrot but wouldn't an easy way to test be forcing the resolution on your personal computer to 800x600 and seeing if it runs? If it runs at that resolution on an LCD I would think it should run at that resolution on a CRT.
