For the record, the definitive experience is the sw trilogy arcade game. The old vector stuff is quaint. When you can flip a game in under 5 minutes it isn't much of a game even though I do appreciate it for what it is and built a yoke just to replay said 5 minutes.

I don't suppose anyone here's got a save file (or save state) for the PS2 SR2006 game with the original Sega Rally cars unlocked they'd like to share? I really want to give the Stratos and the Celica a try, but the unlock requirement (I think you've gotta come 1st in the arcade series, 4,5 and 6 races) seems like just too much of a ballache to do.

so i finally tried changing the tracks around, and got quite a few to work.
i don't make tons of copies, just using a command line batch file to rename and copy the files around
to what i want.
here are the ones i couldn't get to work - this is in medium mode 3 laps - most will work in 2 lap mode

i got lakeside to work in classic, which was cool.
i couldn't get any to work in the championship though.
definitely a tough game, except for artic, hardly came in first,
but i haven't played in a long time.
and the controls and response is very different from the original. so i have
to get used to that.
