Stargate control access

From inside the Stargate I’ve released the control panel clamps on either side.  I can’t seem to get her to open up on her piano hinge. There’s a trick and I’m missing it.

Wow, did I post in the wrong area? or Forum?  My great excitement has been tempered by what I might view as a lack of hospitality.  No one could hook a brother up?

Look for one in the middle of the panel as well?
