Sideart on wrong shaped cab, what are my options
« on: February 14, 2004, 02:12:53 pm »
What I want to do is reproduce the side art from the Simpsons arcade as faithfully as posible on a cab that will look more like frostillicious'.  What options do I have?
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Make the side art smaller to fit?

The simpsons sideart is the full side and I want to do that on my cab also, the problem is the cabs arent the same shape and the cab I will be building is a bigger so the sideart won't cover the whole side, on top of the fact I haven't seen the sideart for sale anywhere, so I'm expecting to have to make it myself in some way or another.

I'd call Frosty and ask him to cut and paste the Simpson artwork to fit your exact panel. The guy is really talented and could easily make it work and put it a format taht would pit your exact side panel.

Does anyone know where I would find an actual piece of sideart from the simpsons arcade or maybe some files on the web?

if youre using real side art, like a repro, Id cut it between the title and the characters. line up the characters as best you can, and rotate the title to fit your angle

if going from your own artwork, or a vector forom somewhere, Id do some moving and resizing to make it look likethat
