Need Help Keeping Controls Mapped on MAME Emulator
« on: March 29, 2018, 02:03:13 am »
Hello!

I created an account on this site for the express purpose of finding help solving this issue. I am BRAND NEW to this world, so I'm basically starting from no knowledge on the subject.

A friend of mine purchased a PC that runs Windows 10 (not sure if legally or not), that is only used to run Hyperlaunch and all of the emulators it contains. He handed it over to me to try to figure out how to solve this issue.

Basically, every time I start up the MAME emulator and select one of the games I would like to play, let's say for instance: NBA JAM, I hit tab and manually map all of the controls for Players 1-4 to my four Logitech Gamepad F310 controllers. I return to the game and am able to play with my newly mapped controls. After I am done playing and close out of the game, all of my edits have been reset, and if I want to boot up the game and play properly I have to manually input them all again.

We want to be able to input the controls for the games we play and have them stay set the way we input them each time we close the game. We are trying to use his device for a performance we are working on, and we need to be able to just pick the game and play it the way we mapped it....

Please help! I'm hitting my head against the wall looking for solutions.
