Anybody know how to remove the front plastic cap before I swing my hammer at it?

Sorted, for anybody's future reference - put a screwdriver-very small flatblade and flick the silver part of cap off.

no probs, its one of them that once you know its easy but if you don't know you can damage parts of the cap very easily.
