I fit fine.  They've been extended.  I could fit in the old ones even when I was at my peak.  Have any of you actually been inside a sports car?
My 90 miata is my daily driver if that counts

Cool.  I can distinctly remember when those came out.  We have a family friend that bought one new and has been driving it ever since.  300k+ miles.

We previously had a 99, all the seals went bad.  Trunk was constantly full of water.  Sold it for $2,000 and it didn't rain again in San Antonio for 5 years.

The new ones are awesome,

They probably took this earlier in the day when the local Starbucks was closed.

64, 66, 09, 15 Vette, 35 Ford, and a 72 Chevelle.  All been driven.  Dont know if thats chuff or bragging.

I read this like the lyrics to "One Piece At A Time"...

I finally watched that movie a few years back.  It's actually pretty good.  My wife commented, "he didn't really fight back all that much" which has caused no end of double takes in her direction ever since.

I have to agree with your wife.  If some dude is taking what he wants and another dude had a shotgun to me at a distance I dont think I would take issue using the aggresor as a human shield.

And now for something completely different....

Haven't thrown since I moved away from WV, but I can appreciate it.

I miss my Arachnid Super Six setup.  I have all the guts, and in theory I could build a frame and wall mount the thing.

All I ever played on it was Cricket and I was just as terrible at that as I am at everything else.

Maybe now that it's not 105 degrees every day I should look into this....

We had a music festival get cancelled here, so there's all manner of weird concerts in 2 weeks.

KMFDM is now opening for Mastodon.

My tastes aren't broad or recent enough to know from Mastodon. I do recall Bill Ward recommending them, and if they're good enough for him, I'm sure they're worth anybody's time.

Speaking of Amazon...

Inktober is coming up. It's a global artist initiative created by popular artist Jake Parker back in '09 to help improve drawing/inking skills by creating one drawing for each day of October and posting it to social media with the accompanying hashtag.  For each day, Jake has put a list of words to help inspire the drawing of that day.

Here's a few drawings I did last year:

This year I figured I'd go the extra distance and buy some high quality ink pens/markers, and nice heavy weight paper for this Inktober's submissions.  Normally for inking I just use whatever ballpoint or gel pen I have laying around the house, but this year I figured I'd do it more legit.

I ordered a bunch of copic markers and Ink Brush pens off Amazon, which aren't cheap, but when it arrived one of the fine point pens was missing a cap and had it's tip broken off. Another pen was missing entirely.
So I submitted a ticket with Amazon stating the problem with my order, and a rep contacted me right away, offered to re-send the missing and broken pens, AND refund me my entire order ($70!!).
They didn't even want me to send the broken pen back, or take a picture for evidence or anything.

Chuffed!   :o

I took a gamble on a Rave Racer cab on Craigslist. The post said it played blind. He said he bought a working replacement monitor, but he couldn't get it to work. I gave him 175 bucks after I confirmed it played blind. Whoever wired the monitor signal wires did it completely backwards. I rewired the connector. The picture came to life, but it rolled vertically and I could not adjust it to lock in. I swapped the sync wire from H+ to H- and it is perfect. I am pretty new to arcade repairs so I am pretty chuffed about my rudimentary sleuthing. The only problem now is odd. The game plays fine, but the ffb doesn't work. When you turn the wheel it engages the view change button sometimes, and the view change button doesn't work at all. When I get home from work today I will pop open the control panel and start a restoration thread.

If the monitor was wired backwards, there is a decent chance that the controls are as well.  I'd start by going over the harness and you might get lucky.

Thanks. I am going to tear into it tonight, and I will post my results. One other issue. The monitor says it needs an isolation transformer. The monitor is not plugged into an isolation transformer. The monitor power runs from the 200 watt power supply to the monitor. Is there an isolation transformer inside that 200 watt power supply? I have not turned the machine back on since I noticed the isolation transformer warning.

That would be DC voltage, which wouldn't run it, so I'm guessing that the power supply sends AC voltage prior to the conversion.  You got a pic?  An isolation transformer looks like a big coil of copper wires around a square of metal.

Something like this:

http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mUgBtZJd6VHRYvHdYcWir8g.jpg

It could be internal though.

I would be wondering if the replacement monitor is even the same thing, and possibly doesn't even need one.... (And curious as to if there is any burn on it)
