GroovyMAME & MAME & switch resolutions
« on: May 26, 2016, 07:30:14 am »
Hi guys,  i have some questions. Sorry my english, im spanish

I have a 15khz CRT emulation PC that works great. But I miss high resolutions for some emulators & games, like PC98 that is 640x400

I decide to build a PC (C2D 3ghz, 9800GT, OS:  XP x64) with a 14" 31khz CRT screen

In my 15khz setup, a thin client sempron 1ghz,   i have old normal mame 109 + one ini per game with resolution +  ddraw

Because my new machines is much faster than old sempron, my idea is to use new builds of mame.  I use 3x resolution, with a custom png overlay for scanlines... i need to admit...looks great!!!

But i face a small problem.... new version of mame, dont change resolution in my PC,  whatever I use, d3d, openGL, or the new engine bgfx... nothing

I tried GroovyMame but i  cant make work, always complain about switchres,  normal, because im not using any custom driver

Any ideas?  I can use old mame,   but now i have a fast PC,  i want to try new build...  sorry about the offtopic question
