I'm looking for software recommendations.  I need a utility that will poll and return the specs on a computer.  I used to use Everest years ago but they've changed a LOT and I am looking for something different.

*  It needs to be portable, able to run off a USB drive is best
*  Freeware or Open Source
*  Needs to be either a Windows program or a self booting app

Any ideas?

Speccy is decent and the free version provides most info (not sure how much the paid version adds) Just be sure to uncheck the Google add-in install that is part of the download and turned on by default  !!
