SDLMame .167 Spinner/Trackball Support
« on: November 26, 2015, 08:27:37 pm »
I upgraded the MAME on my laptop to try it out, and now my TurboTwist 2 and my Happ Trackball aren't working in MAME. The still work just fine in OSX, and I can't check my old MAME version right now cause that computer is at home and I'm on the road for Thanksgiving. When I try to play Centipede, Tempest or Arkanoid, the trackball and spinner do nothing.  The games listed recognize and try to use the joystick (I have an IPAC VE) but no love.  I wanted to show this off to my family, especially my dad who I want to help me build the final stick.  Help?

Is mouse enabled (1) in mame.ini?

# CORE INPUT OPTIONS

coin_lockout              1
ctrlr

lightgun                  0
multikeyboard             0
multimouse                0

If you don't currently have a mame.ini file in the "..\mame\ini\" folder, create one using "mame -cc". (create config)  ;D

P.S. You may also want to check the automatic input options.

OMG I'm a moron. I never thought I'd have to do that eery time I updated but it totally makes sense, since you basically replace all the MAME files.

Too much turkey. Or something.

Thank you!!!
