Vewlix or Chances Cabinet, trying to decide right now

Long time Creeper here.....

Always wanted to build a cabinet and finally getting around to it.


What im looking for is opinions on either a vewlix cabinet or Chances Cabinet http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,135116.0.html

I want to use a 32" tv since i have one sitting here for the build. thats the main thing

Now, 90% of the time i play fighting games, and the other bit im playing side scrolling games (tmnt, aliens vs predator, xmen cota, etc)
so i was leaning towards Chances style, without the trackball, so when i have friends over we can all play.

But i started to look more and more at the vewlix cabinet but cannot find a decent set of pdf plans for a 2 player set up, all the ones i found are the slim 1 player cab.

The wood working part im not too worried about, just need to round up some of the tools from my brother and hes already promised me a spot in one of his garages on his acreage to do all the cutting and painting.

Ive also found someone that does CNC wood working, so i may be able to get some stuff done to save time and get right down to the building/painting/wiring

I might have some plans for the vewlix that I found online from other people. might not be what you are looking for exactly but it could help get you started. I'll post them if I  still have them saved.

I have not started on my build but I know it'll be based off of the vewlix or Flynn's arcade build.

With all due respect to Chance's build, a Vigolix. CRTuld be cooler IMHO.


How many times are you going to have more than one buddy over for some fight and go right?

If its every weekend then maybe Flynn's is better. CRT or Flat screen?
