Sorting Part 2
« on: January 02, 2004, 11:31:05 am »
So I got SORT INFO to work with Mame76 mameinfo.txt.
But that is as far as it will go.  Is anyone working on fixing sort info or does anyone have an updated version yet?  It is a great tool and is about the only good one out there...

Thanks,
Southpaw

I still think you'd be better off just using a FE which can filter.  MAMEWAH takes seconds to filter on whatever you want.  I know you need to filter on no. buttons, but with a smallish list like your horizontal trackball one, it doesn't take long to manually go through (that's what I did ;) ).

But sorry I don't know about SortInfo  ::)

what he said

sortinfo is an "almost" dead project.  I looked into using it's data originally, but the format was bad and there isn't a direct interface for other programs to use it.  This is why there aren't a whole lot of fes using it or it's data.  All the good fes (read all the fes discussed on byoac)  support filtering of some sort. Btw you can do button/trackball filtering on mine just incase it's absolutely necessary.
